Braunton Fireworks 2026: What's Confirmed and What Isn't

2026-10-01·Updated 23 Oct 2026·Braunton

Short answer: Braunton is a working village rather than a resort, so it is open and busy in November. The Williams Arms at Wrafton does a carvery every day, and Saunton Sands ten minutes away is the dark, open alternative.

A village that is open in November

Braunton sits inland of the beaches and is a large working village, not a holiday one. That means the shops and pubs are open, there are people about, and it does not have the shuttered feel of Croyde or Woolacombe out of season.

What is confirmed for 2026

Braunton's own display has not been confirmed for 2026. Barnstaple on the Sunday is the realistic plan, and it is close enough that you are home inside the hour.

Dates and times come from the organisers' own listings and the regional what's-on pages, checked in late October. Small displays are run by volunteers and can move or sell out, so confirm with the organiser before you travel — particularly for anything ticketed.

Where to watch from

What is open

The dunes after dark

Braunton Burrows is vast, unlit and easy to get disoriented in. It is a wonderful place in daylight and not somewhere to wander at night. If you want the dark sky, stay near the car park and take a torch.

Nearby

Barnstaple is ten minutes away and is the main town in north Devon, with far more open on a November evening.

Bringing a dog to a display is rarely a good idea — see the guide to Bonfire Night with a nervous dog for what actually helps.
