This site does not ask who you are, does not run accounts, and does not build a profile of you. There is one optional cookie, from our booking partner, and you choose whether to accept it. Everything else here counts visits without identifying anybody.
Page visits. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It records that a page was viewed and roughly where in the world from, and it does not set a cookie, fingerprint your device, or follow you to other sites.
Advert and link clicks. When an advert or a booking link is clicked, the site adds one to a counter for that advert on that day. The counter holds a number and nothing else — no address, no device details, no identifier. It exists so advertisers can be told honestly how their slot performed.
Our booking partner. Some pages carry links to GetYourGuide, who pay us a commission if you book. If you accept the cookie banner, their script loads and records that a booking came from this site. If you decline, the links still work and nothing is recorded by us. What GetYourGuide does once you are on their site is covered by their own privacy notice.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details go straight to Stripe and are never seen or stored by this site. We keep the business name, email address, image and link you supply, because they are what appears in your advert and what we need to contact you about it. Each advert is approved by hand before it goes live, which means those details pass through a private record on GitHub as part of that process.
Advertiser details are kept while the advert runs and for as long afterwards as is needed for accounts and tax. They are not sold, rented, or passed to anyone else.
One, and only if you say yes: the GetYourGuide booking cookie described above. Your answer to the banner is remembered in your browser's own storage so you are not asked again. That choice never leaves your device.
To change your mind, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
Under UK data protection law you can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to how it is used. In practice, if you have never bought advertising there will be nothing held about you to send.
Ask at hello@devondaysout.uk. If you are not satisfied with the response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If how this site handles data changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than slipped in quietly.
