Short answer: Six Devon pantomimes are confirmed for 2026. Exeter Northcott opens first on 27 November and Plymouth’s Cinderella is the biggest. Barnstaple, Sidmouth and Teignmouth are listed elsewhere but we could not confirm them with the venues.
Every confirmed Devon panto
- Sleeping Beauty, Exeter Northcott — Friday 27 November to Sunday 3 January. The first to open, and the one with the fullest access programme outside Plymouth. £21.50 standard, £19.50 child.
- Cinderella, Theatre Royal Plymouth — Friday 4 December to Sunday 3 January. The biggest, and the best for access performances. £18 to £49.50.
- Snow White, Princess Theatre Torquay — Friday 11 December to Saturday 2 January, with a relaxed performance on 27 December.
- Pinocchio, Exeter Corn Exchange — Saturday 12 December to Saturday 2 January. £17.50 to £21.50.
- Mother Goose, Palace Theatre Paignton — Saturday 19 December to Saturday 2 January.
- Robin Hood, Exmouth Pavilion — Wednesday 23 December to Saturday 2 January.
Relaxed, signed and captioned performances
These are badly listed almost everywhere, so here they are in one place. If you need one, book early — there is usually only one of each in a whole run.
- Relaxed: Plymouth, Thursday 17 December 12.30pm (also audio described and BSL). Exeter Northcott, Sunday 6 December 11am and Saturday 2 January 2pm. Torquay, Sunday 27 December.
- BSL interpreted: Plymouth, Monday 21 December 7pm. Exeter Northcott, Thursday 3 December 7pm.
- Captioned: Plymouth, Saturday 12 December 2.30pm and Saturday 2 January 7pm. Exeter Northcott, Saturday 5 December 7pm.
- Audio described: Plymouth, Saturday 12 December 7pm with a touch tour at 6pm, and Saturday 2 January 2.30pm with a touch tour at 12.30pm. Exeter Northcott, Sunday 6 December 3.30pm.
Paignton, Exmouth and the Corn Exchange do not list any, which is not the same as not having them — ring the box office and ask.
Three we have not been able to confirm
All three are listed by a current and generally reliable source, and all three pass a weekday check against the 2026 calendar. But we could not confirm any of them with the venue, so we have not given them pages. Ring before you travel.
- Queen’s Theatre, Barnstaple — Snow White, listed as 12 December to 3 January.
- Manor Pavilion, Sidmouth — Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, listed as 27 December to 2 January.
- Pavilions Teignmouth — Dick Whittington, listed as 19 to 29 December.
Barnstaple is worth a particular warning. The Queen’s Theatre website is currently serving a page advertising Beauty and the Beast, 12 to 31 December 2024 as though it were this year’s show. It is two years old. Do not book off it.
Where there is no panto
- Plymouth Pavilions — none. Plymouth’s panto is at the Theatre Royal.
- Landmark Theatre, Ilfracombe — no 2026 panto found. North Devon’s traditionally goes to Barnstaple.
- Barnfield Theatre, Exeter — none found.
- Babbacombe Theatre, Torquay — has pantomimes, but in February and May 2027, not at Christmas. One of them is an adult panto, so check what you are booking.
Not pantomimes, but Christmas shows for children
If what you actually want is a festive show rather than a panto specifically: The Drum in Plymouth has Raymond Briggs’ Father Christmas from late November, The Lab in Plymouth has The Loneliest Snowball from 2 December, and Exeter Phoenix has Yeti from 13 to 27 December.
Village and amateur pantos
Devon’s village-hall pantomimes mostly run in January and mostly announce in late November, so there is nothing reliable to list yet. We will add them when they appear rather than repeat last year’s.
Sources
Dates come from theatres’ own sites and official box offices where we could reach them, read on 3 November 2026, and every one has been checked against the calendar. Where a price is missing from this page it is because the only figure we could find was from a previous year.
