Dog Friendly Brixham: Where You Can Eat Indoors With a Dog

2026-04-12·Brixham

Short answer: Fishcombe Cove is dog friendly and a short coastal walk from the harbour. The breakwater is flat, half a mile long and ideal with a dog. The Prince William on the harbour is dog friendly and good value, and the Old Market House has plenty of indoor space.

The walks are the point here

Brixham is a walking town with a dog. The breakwater gives you half a mile of flat, level walkway out to a lighthouse with benches along it and seals close in — easy going, dramatic in a swell, and free. Berry Head, the nature reserve on the headland, is free to walk with Napoleonic fort ruins and views the length of the bay.

The coast path from the harbour round to Fishcombe Cove through the Battery Gardens is a short walk with a dog-friendly beach and a café at the end of it. The hill down is steep, which is the trade.

The dog-friendly beaches

Fishcombe Cove is the easy one — small, hidden, often empty, dog friendly with a beach café and toilets on site. St Mary's Bay is dog friendly too and reviewers describe dogs loving it, but it is over a hundred steep steps down with only one way on and off, so check the tide and your knees before committing.

Man Sands, the remote one, is dog friendly and reached by three miles of single-track lane and then an uneven mile on foot. Better as the end of a coast path walk from Brixham than as a drive.

Indoors

The Prince William on the harbour is dog friendly with a big outdoor area looking over the working fishing port, daily specials and curry deals that feed you properly for the money. It is the most straightforward dog stop in town.

The Old Market House on the quay has plenty of indoor space, food that is cooked rather than reheated, and exceptional gluten-free provision. The Breakwater Bistro by Breakwater Beach has the best breakfast view in Brixham, easy parking and is open nine to nine.
