Dogs at Crealy: Free Kennels, and Dog-Friendly Lodges

2026-03-27·Devon

Short answer: Not into the theme park — licensing means assistance dogs only. Crealy does have a limited number of free kennels near the park, bookable by email with a refundable deposit, plus dog-friendly lodges, glamping and camping on the resort.

The short answer

Due to licensing, only assistance dogs are permitted into the theme park itself. Assistance and guide dogs are welcome in the park but cannot go on any ride — they can come as far as the loading point, where they must be left with someone in your party, and must never be left unattended.

The free kennels

Crealy has a limited number of free kennels located near the theme park. You need to email guest services in advance to secure one, and a refundable deposit is required. Limited means limited — do not turn up assuming there will be space.

The resort is a different matter

This is where Crealy is genuinely dog friendly. Dogs are welcome on the campsite, in the Devon Hideaway glamping units and in the Meadow View Plus lodges, and there is a designated dog walking area behind the camping pitches.

Dog-friendly beaches nearby

Crealy is near Exeter, which puts you within reach of the east Devon coast. Exmouth's eastern end near Orcombe Point allows dogs all year, while the main beach bans them May to September. Budleigh Salterton, Beer and Branscombe are all a short drive, and Sidmouth's beaches see plenty of dog walkers.

Practical

The park is minutes from junction 30 of the M5, with over 60 rides across 100 acres. Book the kennel before you book anything else if the dog is coming.

Dog policies change, and the consequence of getting it wrong is being turned away at the gate. This was checked in September 2026 — ring ahead if you are driving any distance.
