Short answer: Almost everything here takes dogs: the cliff railway, Glen Lyn Gorge, the Valley of Rocks, Watersmeet, and the Greenhouse, the Ancient Mariner and the Blue Ball Inn. It is one of the most dog-friendly places in Devon.
Lynton and Lynmouth sit on the edge of Exmoor and the place is built around walking, which shows. Nearly every attraction and most of the places to eat welcome dogs.
The Valley of Rocks has feral goats roaming free. Keep dogs on leads there — the goats are used to people, but a dog chasing one on a cliff is a genuine problem for both.
The Old Bank in Lynton, the highest-rated food in either village, is not listed as dog friendly. Book it for an evening when the dog is settled.
Glen Lyn Gorge is cash only, and Watersmeet's nearer car park takes cash with patchy phone signal.
