Short answer: From Saturday 21 November 2026 into early January. The catch: before 19 December the illuminations run at weekends only. Lights from 3.30pm. Adult £22.95, child £18.95, no booking needed.
Before 19 December, the illuminations run at weekends only — and on weekdays the village shuts before dark anyway. Weekdays from 21 November to 18 December it opens 10am and closes at 3.30pm, with last entry at 2pm. Turn up on a Tuesday afternoon in December and you may not get in at all, let alone see it lit.
At weekends, and daily from 19 December to 3 January, it opens 11am and closes 6.30pm with last entry at 5pm, and the lights are on from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.
If you see it advertised as running to 1 January, that is wrong — the village is closed that day and reopens on the 2nd.
Adult (16+) £22.95, child (3–15) £18.95. No advance booking — pay by card at the gate before last entry. There is a free return visit within seven days, with conditions — read the voucher, as it has in the past needed a pass collected from the gift shop.
There are steep slopes at the entrance and the exit. The village publishes a full accessibility guide; ring ahead if the slopes matter.
